Following on from a frustrating week-end in Oschersleben, where the unpredictable rain, race incidents and penalties prevented the Cruzes to benefit from the good pace shown on the track, the Chevrolet team heads to the next round of the WTCC in Imola with renewed determination to score good results.

Nicola Larini took a 5th and a 6th position after two solid performances in today’s WTCC Race of Germany in Oschersleben. The result of the Cruzes would have been much better if Rob Huff and Alain Menu hadn’t been faultlessly caught in the typical incidents at turn 1 of Race 1. Both of them then put the show in Race 2, finishing 9th and 10th respectively.

It wasn’t until the first week of April this year that RML confirmed it would be returning to the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship, some five years after it last ran the SEATs back in 2004 and since then, the Wellingborough-based group have gone from strength to strength.

After dominating the top of the timesheets with team mate, Jason Plato, for most of today's free practice sessions, Mat took an early lead in qualifying and remained unthreatened to the end, taking his first outright pole position for the Racing Silverline squad ahead of tomorrow's HiQ MSA British Touring Car round.
