In August 2008 a very special event at Silverstone will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Mallock marque, with two races dedicated solely to Mallocks as well as a parade of Mallocks during the 750 Motor Club race meeting on 23/24 August.

Many of the worlds motorsport press were able to experience and enjoy a taxi-ride in two of the most exclusive cars in the world, when RML participated in the MIA Media Day at Rockingham's' state-of-the-art track.

The RML Chevrolet WTCC team scored important points in the Portuguese round of the 2008 championship, thanks to a second place by pole sitter Nicola Larini and points finishes by Rob Huff.

BRNO, 15 June 2008 – The RML Chevrolet boys obtained (with Alan Menu third in race 1) the sixth podium position of the season, quite an achievement in a track were rear-wheel drive cars were clearly advantaged. A second podium finish was obtained by Rob Huff ( third in race 2) only for it to be disqualified by the stewards for a "non-conformity of the front anti-roll bar link". The team had used a plastic bush instead of a metallic bush that gives no performance advantage. A real pity, after Rob's great performance, which would have put him fourth in the drivers' overall standings.

The first of this year's WTCC street races brought another large helping of points to the RML Chevrolet team. Nicola Larini finished in second in the second race, while Rob Huff scored a fourth and a fifth place finish. Alain Menu finished a distant 10th in race 1 after he had been shunted off on the first lap, while he crashed out in race 2.
