German Company Becomes WTCC's Official Wheel Supplier
The RML Chevrolet WTCC Team is pleased to announce a new technical partnership with ATS Leichtmetallräder, the world-famous producer of alloy wheels.
The technical partnership with RML/Chevrolet complements the agreement signed by ATS with the WTCC organizers, which will see the German wheel specialist become as from the 2010 season an official wheel supplier of the World Touring Car Championship.
RML, Chevrolet and ATS will co-operate closely to develop the race wheels to be used by all WTCC cars.
Ron Hartvelt, Chief Race Engineer Chevrolet WTCC, commented: "Wheels, like tires, play an essential role in any racing car, as these are the elements that ensure contact between the car and the track, and are crucial to both the transfer of power to the ground and the car behavior.
