Jason Plato will contest the 2009 BTCC season in the Racing Silverline Chevrolet-Lacetti, to be run by RML. In what looks set to be a strong year for the BTCC, Racing Silverline's announcement will surely please many supporters this week.

With additional funding from both leading power tool brand Silverline and Auto Windscreens, Plato can now fully focus on adding to his first win of the season. 

Looking to this weekend, Plato enthused, "Firstly I am really excited to be back in the BTCC with Racing Silverline .Thruxton is of course a very fast circuit and if it was a drag race then the Chevrolet would be looking very good, but we don't just go in a straight line - we go round and round so we have to get the car working through the corners as well. On paper, though, Thruxton should suit the Racing Silverline Chevrolet."

Ray Mallock adds, "I'm really pleased to announce our continued partnership with Jason Plato and Racing Silverline.  As everyone will recall, we confirmed our entry into the championship very late in the season, but despite this, we enjoyed a fantastic result at Brands and now approach Thruxton with a very skilful and experienced pairing in Jason and Mat Jackson.

The confidence shown by both Jason and Mat in racing with RML, is of great reward to all involved and we look forward to watching our Lacetti's fighting in the sharp end of the pack with two talented drivers.
