RML investing in our future stars – RML Apprentices
Wellingborough (UK) – 14th October 2016.
At RML Group we know that to continue our exceptional reputation for excellence, we must invest in our future stars, we have delivered multiple world championships for our partners, winning in every series we have entered and to continue this performance we need bright skilled talent.
The search for our Apprentices started in early February. The candidates went through a CV sifting process, a first interview with their potential line managers and then a second interview with two directors. Whilst it seemed a very long and daunting process for an apprentice, it made sure that the candidates were the right fit for the business and met our Values of Teamwork, Excellence, Integrity and Customer Focus.
RML Group are pleased to introduce our four new apprentices:
Chris Tebbutt & Jake Gratton started at RML on the 6th June, Chris joining our Paint and Preparation department and Jake in the Machine Shop. Chris had followed a different career path but decided that his creative and artistic skills were much more suited to a Paint Shop role. Jake had previously worked in machine shops but wanted to follow a recognised qualification and gain more experience. Both Apprentices will study at college towards Level 2 qualifications while gaining on the job experience with RML’s highly experienced team.
Maddison joined Sub-Assembly and Race/Build Team on the 27th June after completing her A-levels. Maddy’s love for motorsport comes from her hobby of Sidecar Motocross Riding; she is a British Championship rider in Sidecar Motocross and was ranked fastest female rider last year in her first season of the Classic British Championship. Maddy will be studying Level 2 Motorsport Technician at the National College for Motorsport.
Christian Beevers, our fourth Apprentice joined on the 30th August in our Fabrication and Welding department. Christian had put himself through evening classes following his passion for welding and now joins RML to further that passion, studying Level 2 Performing Engineering Operations, while helping manufacture components for our Motorsport and Automotive projects.
The Apprentices have been welcomed into the RML family and we all look forward to seeing them flourish in their new roles and being part of our innovative company.
